GoToMeeting
is still one of the best business solution I've seen come out over the
last couple of years. IT IS
AWESOME! Another winner from Citrix. The World Class software company
who brought us GoToMYPC.
This
software integrates and can be launched from most all the popular IM's,
and, it also integrates into Outlook for scheduling meetings in advance.
From
set-up to meeting, it takes about 2 minutes and the user interface is
very, very well done. A perfect interactive solution for those who are
"web-challenged" either as consumers or sales people.
I
originally used the free version a dozen times for website training, AND,
because of the flawless functionality and ready acceptance by those who
were invited to attend my online meetings, I'm now a proud paying
subscriber to the GoToMeeting Service. The Software has already paid for
itself.
GoToMeeting
is one of those practical, yet, outside the box business solutions that
don't come around too often. Leave it to Citrix to create a cost- effective,
user-friendly, and thoroughly useful sales/collaboration tool that uses the built-in remote
desktop sharing capabilities of windows. Nothing short of Brilliant.
So
what's new in GoToMeeting V3.0?
The
user interface has been rearranged a tad in a good way which makes the
software easier to use. The sliding control box has been moved up top,
and the attendee lists have some new features. The ability to undock the
control panel has been added as well. A very nice touch.
GoToMeeting
Integration has also been expanded to include clients such as Skype,
GoogleTalk, and Microsoft Office Communicator.
The
Preferences section under the tools menu has also been nicely
redesigned. All-in-all, a nice enhancement to V2.0 which brought us all
the neat features which we reviewed below.

Just the Application You Choose

The
ability to record and/or archive your meetings is an excellent
enhancement to the GoToMeeting software. Saves time, a no-brainer.
The
"Pointer-Highlighting-Drawing" function of the GoToMeeting
software is sweet, makes it just like any normal conference room
presentation, complete with cool laser pointer kind of effect which
makes us all feel cool now doesn't it.
The
Ability to share JUST the specific application you want to in
GoToMeeting V3.0 is also VERY helpful. Now you don't have to worry about
closing any one of the half-dozen apps you have open just to give a
presentation, you choose what you want to show and that's all your
meeting attendees see. Brilliant!
The
overall simplicity and functionality of GoToMeeting truly makes it a
"10", and with the new enhancements in V3.0, the R.O.I. is
undeniable. In my opinion it's worth it's
weight in Gold. Give it a try! I KNOW you'll agree that this is
a GREAT IDEA!
